don't ever put shadow quality to anything else than 0, either way you won't see anything at all any time it's dark, even in your own base

If you've never played Rust without skins, I can highly recommend to give it a try for a wipe or so. It makes it more immersive imo, to not have people running around like clowns all the time

I had no clue you could turn all skins off. That's op. I'll from now on always have it off, no pay2win advantage and unless you'r'e a skin collector it shouldn't bother you. The vanilla textures work fine imo

It sucks that they patched the no skin option and now camo sets are skyrocketing (forest raiders went from 40-50€ to 160€)

Just remember, a low shader level can help spot enemys outside, but if youre in a base and they open an armored door peak, you literally cant see through it with low shader level. Thats a really rare and small downside, but i have died once to that.
