I don’t know about this one. Seems like I have seen a lot of this announced for cars already - see Stellantis. They are even using a lot of the same suppliers - Epic and Qualcomm. Not sure what the differentiator is here besides games. Which are now switching over to the cloud anyway…

Not sure how I feel about Afeela as the brand name for the Sony EV cars.
My funny suggestions are Carman, like old Walkman form the 80s or Playcar, similar to Playstation lol. The car will have lots features for entertainment as Sony owns film and TV rights, games and music.
Got to give Sony credit for being ahead of apple.
Glad that Sony is teaming up with Qualcomm for chips and electronics too.

I think SHM should immediately create Budget subrand, with better name, more practical features and start from hatchbacks and wagons. And.. hatch should be fastest EV. AND wagon.. most long going EV.

There was very little Honda representation here. That tells me there is nothing ready and more vapor ware. Sony was all over the place.

Afeela is not a good brand name. But it is what it is. I guess we can get used to it. I didn't really see much of the presentation but I don't really get all of the entertainment/music stuff and how that relates to a car.

Car companies big tech and the government we use the digitalization of cars to create a profitable marketplace t I sell you things mainly through new subscription services locked features and services new taxes and more government control actual control of your vehicle lockouts if you drive past you carbon footprint allowance and many way they can buy and sell in your car making it second only to your home as a Olaf e t I sell you things and t I sell your information.

This is why the huge push t I self driving cars so like in the demolition man movie they can have you buying and selling instead of driving and ticket restrict control tour car if say you refuse a vaccine or post something in social media asking tough questions or criticizing those in power.

Its unfortunate.

Car looks cool though if your look past the privacy and nickel diming concerns and government control.
