It would be nice to have them saved locally and in cloud so if anything goes wrong you have a permanently updating and accessible backup

I synced it up to my onedrive, then I realised that none of my world were in my onedrive minecraft saves folder. So before you do anything make sure you have a backup copy of your worlds then paste it into your onedrive minecraft saves folder.

You can actually do this on older versions using symbolic links, but you have to use the console/cmd

First, move your minecraft saves to your dropbox

windows:
mklink /D <DROPBOX FOLDER>\mcsaves %APPDATA%\.minecraft\saves

linux:
ln -s <DROPBOX FOLDER>/mcsaves ~/.minecraft/saves

osx:
ln -s <DROPBOX FOLDER>/mcsaves ~/Library/Application\ Support/minecraft/saves

Is it possible to do this on Windows 10 version? Looks like this is Java, as it looks completely different from what I see when I launch Minecraft.

Can you make Minecraft point to a path on the web? My school's computers have every setup file blocked, so setting up a synced folder isn't an option for me. They don't block the Google Drive website, though.
