Learn how to place fabric in a vintage metal embroidery hoop

Hello, I was wondering if you had a tutorial for a wooden spring tension embroidery hoop? I got one and couldn't find a tutorial for it. I keep finding ones for plastic hoops with clamps(?). The Inner hoop is already in, and I am having a hard time removing it without worry of breaking it.

They look like the ones you would get the image results if you search for "Gibbs Spring Tension Wooden Embroidery Hoop". But not the ones labeled princess or duchess.
