I would be curious what your opinion would be for the book For the Wolf, if you ever pick it back up. Her other book, Foxglove King sounds interesting, but I hesitate with "popular" books. The premise always sound so good but the execution falls flat at times.

Why did you dislike these violent delights? I started it and liked the Shanghai atmosphere too! I was worried because it is a young adult fantasy (I read literary fiction and horror, occasionally adult fantasy). Honestly, picked it up because it was $2 and the cover is gorgeous. Would love to know your thoughts bc I wasn’t sure about finishing it myself!

omg good call on kingdom of the wicked, i read the first book and it was SO BAD. SO don't even bother with it 🤣🦊
shadow of the fox was really cute, but i can see why you may not be into it since it's very very YA~

and hell to N-O on "waiting for it to get good" for the dresden files! HAHA
