I got tested this morning and was very impressed with how it all went. Well done, Fulgent.

Got turned away from one testing site that had a 2hr wait, left another that was $100 for a test, other places were out of appointments. Thank god I was able to utilize this drive through service in my area, I was able to book an appointment today and got tested within 30 minutes of scheduling, thank you for actually providing accessible testing in LB and making my life easier, fingers crossed for the results.

If anyone was wondering, I took the covid test at Rancho Los Amigos Downey and it was nasal.
Update: I got my results the next day! They also didn't ask for my ID. Super fast and efficient.

Went to the Anaheim Convention Center. Try not to go around 4-6. I had an appointment at 5, and I live right next to the testing center, and left my house at 4:45. I left the facility around 6:30. I had to wait over an hour and a half to finish testing, because the line on West street was so long. If you wanna be a troll, go on Orangewood and then turn onto West to cut into the line(if it's busy). Not sure if the video is misleading or what, but I was told to push it up until it didn't move anymore. The test had the long swabs, and it didn't feel pleasant to put it into my nose. I sneezed and had watery eyes, but it wasn't that horrible that I wouldn't do it again.

The people working there are all nice. Hope you guys are all safe and healthy.

Hey all, make sure you "rotate while maintaining contact with the nasal WALL". You really don't want to be walking around with a False Negative test result.

Just did the test. Pray for me y’all. I hope I stuck the swab up far enough. It does hurt on one side of my nose now. And it caused me to sneeze after I did both sides. The test was easy. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 Just annoying sticking something up your nose.

Did my test today in South Gate. It was nasal(ugh), self administered. I got there an hr early was still seen. They ask for last six of my confirmation and my name. Didn’t ask for my id. It wasn’t packed, total time I was there about 10 mins. I was by myself but the car infront of me had 3 people. I made the appointment that same day. My process was exactly like in the video.

Got my results two days after testing, and was also nasal. Majority of the time was waiting. Our site had everyone keep their windows up, and checking in was them holding signs for us to read and respond to - "please provide your appointment number, drivers license, and insurance (if applicable)", so we'd hold it up to the window for them to notate. Then they placed a piece of paper under a windshield wiper, and directed us to another location where they confirmed that information, then handed the swab kit through the car window with one of those squeezy trash picker uppers. Once everyone had their kits, we were directed into a parking garage with signs on how to perform the test. Once done, we had to give the kit to someone on the way out (not drop it in a bin like in the video) who would also assess our health through the window (asking questions about symptoms and such). If you were experiencing severe symptoms, they'd ask you to pull over and have a physician talk to you. I saw a couple people get out of their cars and the physician listened to their lungs. All in all, it was probably 5 minutes being active, and 25 minutes of waiting.

Guys I took the test and it was very very VERY EASY!, don’t worry guys it doesn’t hurt at all!, the only thing that’ll happen is you just tearing up and maybe cough a bit but it’s fine believe me I took it and if anything I wouldn’t mind doing it again! :D

i went to the one in Downey and it was super empty. there were two cars before me but they were already on the last station when i got there. the first station they ask for the last 6 digits of your confirmation number. didn’t even ask for my DL. the next station they gave me the packet with the swab and tube. at the last station, someone explained how to do it and then they ask you to roll up your window to do it while they stand from afar to watch you and make sure you do it right. then you drop it in a bin and that’s it! it wasn’t bad at all. i did tear up a little doing it but i’m glad i was able to take my time doing it since it wasn’t packed

I have anxiety and honestly was so scared of getting tested but honestly the experience was not bad AT ALL! U get there and they ask for ur last 4 confirmation n ID. Then they hand u ur test w a bag that has a booklet w a free mask. Then you do EXACTLY what the video says. It wasn’t scary or painful. U just swab around ur nasal wall. It’s not like those scary ones where THEY stick it deep into ur brain. I Promise it’s not bad!

I just took the test. The swab stick is short now, no break off point. Placed the entire stick with swab in the tube. Why the change?

As I mentioned in a previous post, the video needs to be updated. The test is a cheek swab, not nasal. Also, I'm 95% sure my results are a false negative. My symptoms have gotten a lot worse, and this is unlike anything I've ever experienced before. I spoke to a nurse from my Infection Control department, and she was shocked by a negative reading. Right now, I'm very surprised, too, but they are proceeding as if the test had been positive given my symptoms. My biggest concern is that, had I not been experiencing my current, and progressively worsening, symptoms and gotten a negative result, I would have put my already at-risk patients and fellow doctors at even greater risk. I have never been grateful to feel ill because it clued me in, but this shouldn't be happening. I say all this to make the point that receiving a negative result does not mean you do not have it. Act accordingly.

For anyone who may be wondering how long it has taken to get the results, I received mine at the 24-hour mark, which was surprising.

The cotton swab is shorter now so you don’t have to break it off. It just fits in the tube
