Moon wouldnt be usually taking care of kids, its an stage animatronic with the gimmick of "turning Evil" when the lights are off, repurposed to be the daycare attendant(they tried to redesign him to be always Sun, but it was too expensive so they decided to just keep the lights on around him at all times), Moon just comes out whenever theres a power shortage on the daycare (and they are quite frequent, thats why the emergency generators are there) some people also say the company uses Moon for guarding the place at night and it makes a lote of sense in my opinion.

Fun fact: when Sundrop turns into Moondrop, moon doesn’t deactivate. He stays active for the whole night until he transform back to Sundrop
