I love ban as a character since I read SDS but the clear difference between him and Zoro is the loyalty they have for their captain’s. Zoro has never once turned his back on luffy nor has he betrayed him, ban has fought and tried to kill meliodas in fruitless attempt to revive Elaine based on a vague promise by a shady “goddess”, then not to long after abandon the team instead of Maning up to his mistake. Don’t get me wrong ban and meilodas are a great team but Zoro is the better right hand man

As someone that watched both 7DS and OP, Best right hand Between Zoro and Ban is Zoro. Although I would say as of now Ban has risked way more to save his captain. He died again and again for over 10, 000 years and risked his entirety just to save his captains life almost losing his humanity in the process. Gave up his true love in order to save Meliodas and got atomised in the process. If we look at just feats Ban would win, but Zoro had proved time and time again that he would give up his dream and his life for his captain to achieve his.
However Ban has tried to kill his captain on plenty of occasions to achieve his goal before he finally resolved himself to help him properly. On that reason alone I would say Zoro is a better right hand since he would never hurt his captain intentionally and would be the first to lay his life down for him.

My man. 100% agree with your choice. Zoro and Luffy been bros since basically day 1. Zoro was even able to piece together the riddle Luffy left after the war. He got over his failure to follow directions for Luffy (for the time skip and the time skip only)

Too any people think Partner and Rival are the same thing. Not even close. Just because rivals work together when the threat is important enough, doesn't make them partners. Zoro and Luffy are just bros. Nothing is combing between those two. Let's not forget Zoro got down on his knees and begged the man he wants to beat to train him just so Zoro can protect Luffy. Zoro set aside his dream to protect his best friend. *THAT'S* real energy right there.

What I like about Zoro is that he is honest and smart enough to call out or question Luffy's actions. He'll still follow Luffy through hell and back, but he's not a blind yes man.
