Is MINI GT becoming the next Hot Wheels?!

I used to collect hotwheels but fell in love with 2 casting of mini gt and now i only collect mini gt and tarmac works. Granted its more expensive which means i cant collect as many but i love them

I started collecting three weeks ago, Hot Wheels ID initially but am not moving to Tarmac Works COLLABS and INNO64, they’re much more ‘grown up’ models and I appreciate that more.

HW has very good 1 dollar gems… like the mc12, '12 camaro zl, 67 pontiac firebird (V tuskey), scirocco gt (zamac), first editions are sometimes good too

Mini gt and inno64 provide the best detail for the price and blow hot wheels away. I still collect the hot wheels i like but Mini gt and inno64 are top at this moment.

The Mini GT chases are meh, I'm not a fan of chases 😉 But a trend that's interesting.. some of the earlier regular castings that are harder to find, like the 3 series Alpina, are a lot more expensive these days. I think it's a reflection of a different set of collectors too, there are a lot more people who collect Mini GT that value realistic 1/64 models (and the Asian market being more focused on regular releases with the chases just on the Mijo side of things). I hope things keep trending that way, more collectors who value good models, but I totally don't understand the appeal of odd looking chases (raw etc) 😅 and I think chases create the wrong kind of appeal (placing too much value on "rarity" for the sake of it)

i agree i also stopped with majority of mini gt when i got inno

From HW to inno64 and never went back. Hobby Japan comes in 2nd on my list. Tarmac then Mini GT...

I think their “Kaido crap I mean House” is where the hot wheelish comes, too damn big and the designer those Haido Kouse is a former hotwhack designer.
