Myrtenaster

After a long time, I finally got around to giving Myrtenaster–Weiss’s weapon– a new coat of paint. It was the first RWBY weapon that I modeled 8 years ago, and one of the first YouTube videos that I made, so it's only fair that I make it my longest video so far. Even more, it makes me happy to see my improvement when looking back at the original video.

I really had a blast with this one. It was fun displaying a few of the abilities that Weiss used, in combination with her weapon along with the corresponding glyphs. I may have not gone into all of them, but I did try to do a decent amount of them. My favorite part has to be some of the combination attacks that I got to recreate from the show. I also ended up really liking the case that I made at the beginning, I feel like the added cushion really sells it.

Also more knife twisting for good measure~ At this point it would be more shocking if I didn't do anything of the sort.

Amazing. I really like how you took the original design from the show, and adapted it to a more realistic thing by adding your own little details to it. Just the little extra extrusions and bevels here and there really make it feel like a real thing. Great work!

The handle is supposed to be curved, therefore the trigger is easier accessable & minimizes movements

Also, were the spirals on the handle difficult to create? I've been trying to create Myrtenaster in blender for a few weeks now and those spirals are really giving me a rough time. Like, i want them to be square insets normal to the surface of the handle, but they're really tricky

it's interesting that it's both a sword that has a revolver chamber next to the hilt.
