The Girls is a fantastic book; just adding to your speculation so that you don't go into it thinking that it's about the lighter side of that time period. It's a dark & intense story about acceptance & how elusive it can seem to be when typical teenage thinking & insecurities come into play. The storyline involves a 'family' that's eerily close to the Manson family. This isn't spoilery info; I promise you! I hope that you enjoy it. :-)

I really really REALLY want The Star Touched Queen and Crown of Wishes, the covers are so stunning and I love how they're based on Indian folklore! Also, I'm very intrigued with Hunted, I always love a good retelling:)

Dorothy Must Die is very interesting! It is actually four books, though, not a trilogy.

The Girls is really great writing. I literally felt sticky reading it because of the description of how they live and eat, etc. So amazing!

I absolutely LOVE "Of Fire and Stars". I think the plot was super interesting, and the character development is interesting. The slight murder-mystery in it is really good too. I just...its so great. 10/10.

I'd have to say Jane Eyre is my favorite book too! It's cool to know that someone else feels the same way about it! I always try to get people to read it, but it's very difficult. Also, I loved "The Invention of Wings"
If you've read "The Secret Life of Bees" by Sue Monk Kidd, you'll adore this story as well! Historical fiction is just an amazing genre.📚✨
