27:52 3 more screws fit under the metal shim so that the steering wheel is secured with 6 screws.

The reason as to why the WRC is using the standalone sequential instead of the wheel mounted is because the WRC made it mandatory like two years ago in an effort to save costs.

Thanks for addressing the customer service issues prior to reviewing the product. I have received my order which was placed on November 24. I received the order on January 19. I didn’t enjoy the wait, but the gear is fantastic.

To start things off, as usual, great presentation and editing, the production is top-notch. You have my support and I think you do great for the community.

As you may know I am someone who focuses almost entirely on Rally content. My thoughts on this conglomeration of products is it has almost zero value in the simracing market. I was excited when I heard there was going to be a focused rally product coming from Fanatec and I was very disappointed when I saw this was the result. It serves a meaningful purpose on a real top-level rally car I'm sure, but there are no features about this barebones wheel hub that have any practicality that can't be achieved with nearly any other wheel mounted button box. It's purely pandering to give a sense of authenticity, but it's to a large fault. They should have included controls to allow for easy in-game menu navigation (Funky switch) and paddle shifters at a minimum. Nobody is going to buy one of these for thier sim rig and then walk out to thier garage where they have a Rally 1 Ford Puma sitting there with no wheel attached.

I was considering buying this product when I first learned of its existence but after learning more it severely underwhelmed me.

It’s nice you mention about fanatecs issues(I was the guy that was very frustrated talking to you on Twitter at points).

Nobody should be mad you say it’s starting to get better, cos if it is. Then you can’t grumble.

As much as they’ve lost me as a customer going forward. I wouldn’t want to see them vanish. As that’s Just harsh on all there employees.

Maybe Just get some actual management that aren’t yes men. Can acknowledge there issues and out someone in place to sort a real customer service team.

I ordered first in October when there were issues, got it in 4 days. Ordered again on blackfriday, received everything in 2 weeks. All good so far

Will, please don't take this the wrong way! I'm sure you have no clue who I am but as a fellow content creator in the space I truly appreciate what you have done over the years in helping bring many eyeballs to our great little hobby! Your product is top notch and I'm well aware of the effort and time it takes to produce such content. It's great to see you've finally discussed these issues about Fanatec. You are one of the biggest (if not the biggest) sim racing content creator partnered with them who promotes their products. I'm nobody so take this with a grain of salt but I believe being in the situation that you are in, you have the responsibility to give your viewers this information even if it means it may impact your ties with the company. I don't think it would either way but honesty is the best policy imo. That being said, personally I think you should have discussed it much sooner in a stand alone video (which can totally be done in a professional manner without trashing Fanatec). You are typically a very honest person but I feel you pushed this one off too long. As for them getting it back under control, I can't really agree with that one based on what I've personally still been seeing as of the day you released this video. It seems its location based whether or not you will receive timely shipping and most people are still not getting replies or updates to emails. I'm still a big fan of you Will and maybe one day I'll be big enough to collaborate on something with you! This steering wheel is epic and it's a shame their customer support is bad because their products are fantastic! Peace & Love my friend!

Cancelled my Fanatec order due to pi** poor communications and slippage on the ETA compared to when I ordered a bundle. After watching Wills Asetek La Prima review bought that on Thursday past and got the kit Well Happy. Fanatec fanbois stil thinking silly customer service and extended wait times are acceptable.

A rant, not against Will, but against fanatec: Fanatec has still NOT send my november order or responded to ANY of my inquiries. They send a generic email in december with a NOT WORKING link to cancel the order. They hold my, and a lot of peoples, hard earned money hostage, and I completely lost the joy in simracing because of them, as every time I start up my fanatec wheelbase and my favorite sims FULL of fanatec commercial banners I get reminded they have more then 500 euros of my money and they have the complete disrespect not to answer any of my messages!

Ordered 6 different products around BF. I would say everything shipped and arrived in a decent time except for those including the QR2 which were delayed, but I've also received those orders. The DD+ I ordered on 11/23 and I got notice yesterday that they are finally shipping my base after more than 2 months waiting!

Fanatec's issues are now well known all throughout the community. I am still waiting for my order from the Black Friday offers. All I ask is that at least Fanatec answers the emails with real persons giving me an approximate date of when to expect the order even if it is a few more months giving me some hope but I do wish I get it before arthritis gets the better of me rendering me unable to use my sim equipment as I'll be 64 this year lol.

I have been waiting for this for so long, but have moved away from Fanatec to an SC2 Pro. Hopefully Sim Racing Machines will update his conversion kit to cover this button box.

I ordered a few items on Black Friday and received them second week of January. I also ordered the rally module, podium hub, and APM 2 weeks ago but that’s a preorder since the hub isn’t releasing till late Feb for the states. Plan on putting it on a cube controls GT-Zero I have. Can’t wait!!

I bought the magnetic shift paddles at the same time I bought a podium hub with the regular QR2 and the rally hub, unfortunately the steering wheel (R383 Logo) was sold out, so I bought it separately from a racing wholesaler online. Which worked very well for me. Tateen is fantastic to use, especially for EA WRC which I play with the most. As for the times, it worked really well for me, no big wait when I ordered things like fans at home according to the website, Ordered December 8, delivered December 18.

I got something during black Friday and had no issues, it was one item so maybe that made it easier. I also recently ordered one item and ended up receiving it before I was initially expecting to. As a second to this, I also pre-ordered a csl dd during wave 1 and had to wait 9 months to get it, and it took about a month to get my csr pedals in 2014. So I don't expect speedy shipping from fanatec in general.

I am from Cologne in Germany and I preOrdered the DD+ for the full amount of Money at the 19th of October 2023, a few days later I selled my DDPro cause I was paying 999€ for the DD+ and I am not a finacial superGuru :D now I am waiting and waiting and watiing :D
