Rokinon 12mm f/2 AF + Fuji X-S10 IBIS FAIL!

This video needs more attention Fujifilm and samyang definitely need to address this problem. I can’t afford to just buy and sell lenses easily. I bought my lens off of eBay. So I really can’t return it. So the only choice is to try to sell this one, at a loss. And buy the viltrox 13mm. I just wanna make some fun videos. And I can’t because of this problem. Great video, happy that people are addressing this issue. Hopefully, Fujifilm and samyang will watch videos like these, and correct the problem.

I have the Samyang AF 12mm F2 and is has the same issue. The Rokinon and Samyang are the same lense, differently branded.. Samyang has already stated, that is has a problem with the IBIS Protocol. The lense would not give its gyro information to the camera or something like that. They are working on a Bugfix + Firmwareupdate. They claimed it would be done in the second half of this year.

bought a brand new copy, it doesn't work with the x-t5 so they havent updated the firmware on new inventory....and i am REALLY ANNOYED that i have to buy a $70 accessory from samyang to fix their problem they should have solved from day 1. if only the viltrox 13mm were weathersealed...

Fuji’s IBIS fighting with lenses is not a new thing look at reviews online about Tamron 18 -300 mm with Fuji bodies. Complete fight between Fuji’s IBIS with Tamron IS.

Is there any setting where you can manually tell the camera what mm lens you are using? I feel like some cameras have this for manual lenses with no contacts….maybe setting that would help 🤷‍♂️

No difference with the rokinon 12mm. Very grittery in both modes…. Cannot tell the difference…

It literally isn’t working. You need to return that Korean lens and buy the Fuji 16mm 2.8.

I don't see any difference. Maybe worse WITH IBIS! Certainly not Olympus!

Still better than the 16-80 which is the worst lens for vlogging that I have ever used. I bet rokinon will get it right eventually though b/c its an obvious choice for vlogging. The Camera Conspiracy guy did a couple of vlogs with the viltrox 13 1.4 but you have to take them with a grain of salt as it hasn't even been released yet. Waiting for the sigma 16 to get out into the wild to see how it performs.
