As a third grade public school teacher who leads a mindful breathing session every day with my students, I can tell you that this is 100% true.

The most important is recognizing our feelings and what we think and have a good communication about it. That does half the job

Maria Montessori has a wonderful program that was taught in Montessori schools. The entire school is calm and relaxed environment. It is worth looking into one of these schools. I am so blessed that my kids were able to attend this school in elementry.

Breathwork, mindfulness, self introspection, & a clean diet with no processed foods, no cooked oils, & very seldom meat products.

I talk to my son and teach him neuroscience everyday and for every day situations. I’m disabled so I made my life worth into learning how to heal.
My boy has a very sensitive nervous system and when he gets overwhelmed in public I guide him through it with breathing exercises, I even rock him and he is a pre-teen. And look for ways to shut down all input to balance him out. Ones he is regulated I reminded him that he has the tools when I am not there.
People around me just watch him and ask me how I did it. And I share because if I knew how to help myself when I was little or even now I can change the trajectory on a moment. 💎🙏🏼 and knowledge in this case is “BLISS”

As a CPTSD survivor, I am learning to regulate my nervous system. This includes meditation, breathing, a lower-carb diet, etc. These things have all helped learn to listen to myself and others. If I had had some of this when I was younger, I could have avoided re-traumatizing myself.

It’s not all about physical training, meditation, breathing exercise etc.

One crucial aspect not to forget in this context is food.
Kids who get refined sugar, simple carbs, ultra-processed foods etc. might have a hard time to master themselves, never mind how much training they get.

Please make a master plan. It is so needed. We are losing kids due to nervous breakdowns. Thank you.

The battlefield is in your mind you must take captive your thoughts and bring them under submission.

It's interesting to see a scientist (cute one at that) who finally came to a spiritual conclusion. The upset inside/anger/rage/emotional disregulation creates the fights, and conflicts outside.

I’m one of those people who has had what I call physical anxiety for many years of my life. But, because I’m a logical thinker, knowing I’m not in danger at the time the physical symptoms of anxiety occur for me, I was always confused why my body was on the fritz! I believe that’s contrary to most people who have anxiety, regardless it affects the bodies health so I had to work to identify it and also use breathing strategies to calm the body. Hope this helps someone ❤

Such a great point. If weverre to begin this cycle of incremental scenario-based learning throughout the years of brain development and the maturation of the physiological elements that add to these levels of awareness; I think that we would have a greater chance of increasing the likelihood of future generations having a more fully formed identity of self at a much younger age that creates a more autonomous population of adolescents and young adults who possess a greater degree of self confidence in their own self efficacy to both successfully manage and subsequently cultivate life which emulates the vision of who they were ultimately created to become in life.

That last statement is absolutely true.

If you are aware enough, you can often choose to react differently, with peace and calm instead of stress. That’s something we should teach kids and people in general. Often, it’s just assumed, ‘I’m stressed because the outside is stressing me, ’ but it’s not the outside; it’s your reaction to the outside. You can change that. If you practice awareness, you can catch the moment you start feeling stressed, stop it, and replace it with calm and peace.

Well, to be a Christian that actually are crucified with Christ, and fallow He’s teaching. It regulate feelings. Takes some time to master, but it’s good to be happy instead letting anger flow when in tried situations. Or get peace instead of fear, etc etc.
