Collecting sap from the birch tree #bushcraft #foraging

When spring arrives and leaves on the birch tree gradually starts to emerge, it's time to collect birch sap. In this video I demonstrate how to tap the birch tree for it's sap and then using pine resin glue to cover the wound to avoid the tree from dying. After tapping a birch tree, it should not be tapped for several years for recovery.
