Soy Mexicano 100% . Lindos recuerdos. Gracias amigo . 🇲🇽🇺🇲

Thank god I was raised right, , listening to these oldies reminds me of family gatherings in the hood, playing in the dirt with all the cousins, , while then men drink and laugh by the bbq, , god bless anyone who is reading this❤️🖤🙌

My brother passed 4 days ago and as I listen to these songs that we loved so much and I’m crushed right now. But to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, ❤

I was 6 when my Mom taught me to slow dance to Try Me by James Brown. It was 1986. She was a single mother, my dad was locked up. Whenever we would get together for a party, dance or wedding and they played this song, she would grab me and we'd dance together. She passed in December of 2023 of liver cancer. Ill always have those memories and this song. Thank you Mamá for teaching me and I'll always love you. 😢❤

I'm 65 years old now.
I love listening to the real singers that had soul and wrote meaningful lyrics.
Sadly I can't listen to them for too long.
I start getting melancholy and tears 😢 start to roll down my cheeks.
To all my black and Latinos brothers and sisters.
Please, make sure you forgive and love those around you.
Life is too short.
God bless everyone.

Born a Mexican American in Pacoima MLK hospital in lake view terrace. Living next to whites and blacks as a kid was beautiful. Getting older all the jailhouse politics caused divide. I'm a proud native American/Mexican American. Love all people from all nations. Music for therapy for crossing trouble borders. Only the few know the circumstances. Growing up in the Pacoima projects and Pierce projects. Im glad I made it. Thank our Lord Father. Only us growing up in the west coast know.
