While no one should ever condone what racist stuff they were saying, from what I've seen (and read myself) Riri is just not a good character (writing-wise). That's the main basis of hatred people have towards her, and for reference, Miles is not hated despite also being black cause he's just written better.

IMO The next Iron Man should be that kid from Iron Man 3. He was at Toney's funeral in Endgame too.

For me the issue isn't racism, the issue is the character itself . No one loves this character . Everyone wanted the kid from Ironman 3 to carry the legacy but we got this . She was the negative of the Black panther 2 for me .
Maybe they can pull another Agatha all along with this but if they don't .... Things will be way worse than She hulk

And the reason for the outrage is more that, well... Nobody actuly likes Iron Heart. At least I never saw fans if her.
She got things way too easy in Wakanda Forever. From a full tech suit and all, and was considered a full genius without actualy having a character arc to show why she's a "genius" in the furst place.
Tony Stark actualy evolves as a character and as a hero thoughout the films, but she got from 0 to 100 too quickly making everything she earned look superficial.
What I'm saying is, they fail with her character and fail in making her appealing, almost looking like a Mary Sue. The boy from Iron Man 3 would be a better, specialy because he's actualy conected to Tony Stark, Iron Man and is also a engenear.
They droped the ball.

Personally, I don’t care if there is iron heart, but I don’t think she should carry the mantle of iron man. She never even met iron man. She should be her own character imo.

If anyone becomes the next iron man in the mcu, the kid from iron man 3 would be awesome. And him and ironheart could both be in the mcu at once, I’m not asking for a replacement.

Edit: I never said anything against her being a black woman, and I never said that she is meant to be an iron man replacement, I said she shouldn’t be.

I don't have any problem with her being black or a woman, it doesn't matter, its just that Ironheart's introduction was shit but even ignoring that she didn't have any interaction with ironman whatsoever when their exists Spiderman and Harley who both qualify to carry on Tony's legacy and would've been celebrated, NOT because they're white or men but because of character establishment.

They're not angry for the characterization on the show since as you said it's based on the original character, they're angry about the original character getting made for the reasons you stated and I honestly agree a bit. Created in 2016 I genuinely feel she was made to appeal to a specific crowd, and people aren't happy about it for a decent reason I would say. They could have hyped up existing characters like Storm or Lady Hawk, but instead created a specific version of Iron Man that no one was really asking for

I dont care that shes black, I dont care she is a women, I do care that one of my favorite characters in cinema history is being replaced with a character almost no one knows let alone cares about.
