Join Miss GoElectric @CES 2024 as she explores the @kia PBV (Platform Beyond Vehicle) display. She'll discuss the finer points of the upcoming lineup, implications for commercial and lifestyle users, and the timeframe.

We understand the audio quality of this video is below what you expect from our brand and we apologize. This was captured on a cell phone, which is new to us. Producer Tim overlooked some importantly settings to integrate the wireless microphone. We have done our best to salvage this clip using AI because we think Kia PBV is, perhaps, the most interesting and comprehensive product announcement from any automaker at CES this year.

Thanks for watching!

such a cool van! I will definitely buy something like this when it's available.

As usual, Canoo is taking a long time to get anywhere, while Koreans and Chinese are implementing those ideas to next level rapidly.

please allow the public to buy some of these modular cargo versions; the dog community especially will LOVE these! The ability to turn the dog vehicle into a daily driver easily would be HUGE.
Sincerely, someone with a large dog who is always looking for a car that can fit a crash-tested safety crate fit for a small pony lol.

I'm new to your channel, and really like your content. I have watched over a dozen YouTube videos about CES, but never saw the PBV concepts. Great work, and thanks!

The American market really needs a small truck, it seems like all of the ones on the road are over 20 years old.

It would be really cool if you could rent addons when you need something different but only for a limited time.

I think Canoo saw this coming - likely the reason for the pivot to commercial vehicles and government contracts as a priority since Canoo will qualify for Federal and State EV incentives, while Kia (at least as long as they're built in S. Korea) will not. Still it blows my mind why Canoo chose to delay production for as long as they have. They could have at least slow-rolled production and been cranking out limited runs of each vehicle type (getting their assembly line processes nailed down and still have 100s of vehicles on the road for real-world extended customer evaluation) while they set up their automation to handle volume. While they may still have a chance at success in the US market, they're totally missing the boat internationally. S. Korea and China saw the potential demand for vehicles like this, took Canoo's Swiss-Army-Knife concept and just began expanding on it. It's sad when great ideas are destroyed by poor management decisions. Canoo seems to have everything in place - _except actual production_ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Really cool stuff! Do you think they'll ever put a micro factory into UAW stronghold location like Detroit?

Make it wider for the USA market. Make it just shy of 8ft wide and give us the option to add batteries behind the front seats for longer range. Compete with the Transit and Sprinter vans.

The swapping system seems cool, but I'll reserve judgement until I see the specifics of how it all works. Do you need to also buy a machine that does the swap? Would this really be better than just having separate vehicles since you have to store the modules anyway?

their investment on arrival is definetly helping them building this which is great but i doubt if they can really implement what arrival can do in large scale.

the pv1 also have the perfect size and form/shape for a one or two person tandem car with down folding back seat to be honest im looking at the pv5 at the moment but if they can make the pv1 like that ( with the seat and stearing like the pv5 and be pretty quick in the 100-150 kmt / 60-90mph ( so you can easily. quickly and safely pass someone on the highway ) i think they will have a surpriceinglt good winner on there hand

Quite the imaginative, futuristic concepts, Laycee! Fun to contemplate; dunno if I'll ever seen them in use in my lifetime. BTW, did you take the Boring Loop to get to the Convention Center? If so, curious to know your impressions of it.

I want a Canoo, but I'll get a Kia if it comes out first. Will any company actually release a decent EV Van?

Why nobody import Canoo to Taiwan, many Taiwanese need this type EV for SUV or mobile office
