I clench my teeth at night. So I get the TMJ disorder constantly. Jaw dislocations are so damn painful, and my muscles are always very tight, impossible to put the joint back in by myself. I wish I had family that could help, much less a friend. I've had my parents just stare at me while I'm punching at my jaw in exhausted pain after yawning too widely.

I work in dental. I've dislocated my jaw twice. I've done this to someone else. It's an amazing feeling afterwards. Tender, but so much relief.

For those curious how this happens some people’s sinus pressure does not adjust as well as others when increasing in altitude. The best way to equalize is to open your jaw like your yawning but sometimes when the pressure is really bad you can dislocate your jaw from this motion I’ve almost done it myself and it’s very painful

Happened with me when I was in class 8 and 9..
Once it got so bad that I could not adjust it like I always did previously.
God it was so painful. I literally could not even close my mouth. I just wore a mask and went to hospital..there I waited like 2 hr as the doctor was not present.i was continuously crying. I thought my life ended. Then the doc came and inserted his fingers and adjusted my bones. I was so relieved. He said it was rare for a child to occur.it mainly happened with older ppls.then when he was talking I eas just trying to move my mouth to check whether I could move comfortably or not..then suddenly it happened again. The doc then suggested me to not to open my mouth more and adviced to talk slowly so that I would not open it widely or move my jaw more then he wrote some meds for my bones strength
