Mr. Patriarch Ep. 15:
When times are bad we are called to stand all the taller. The best way to deal with low politics is to transcend them with spirit and in faith. Bleak as times may appear, to despair is not the answer, for that is what our enemies both temporal and spiritual want from us. Nor is it necessarily to go to the ballot box. In good times and bad, but especially the bad, we're called to stand fast in faith and become as mighty men of God to the glory of the Most High.

Apologies for the seizure inducing screen glitch from 2:48-3:08. I didn't catch that before upload and can't fix it on YouTube editor. Feel free to avert your eyes during this time :)

Well done video. I think the perspective you give about the apostles really helps. It only took 12 men to change the world, so we should stay the faith and be strong. Subscribed!

Thanks for this. Gradually coming to the end of my "internet atheism", and videos like this are helping me immensely. Have a blessed day brother.

Exactly right, Those of us who have young children do not have time for nihilism. We must become the wholesome fathers of the next generation, no excuses.

Strong Ben Op / Out of the Ashes vibes here - Esolen’s last chapter in the latter is just as encouraging as this is.

Bless you brother. God wins; that’s the end of all things.

Beautiful.
I had been thinking that we would do well to familiarise ourselves with the various Great Awakenings and the like, for whether or not they're our denomination or whether or not were Christians, we do all seem to understand that we are up against a theological force and must likewise have such fortitude.
Even for those who only see utility in this approach, I think it's still good.

Very unrealistic narrative of the Christianisation of Europe. Rome did not persecute Christians except in rare circumstances, and never on religious grounds but only when Christians refused to comply with Roman law and posed therefore a political danger.
Furthermore, Christianity ultimately prevailed on Paganism through military force, when Constantine defeated Julian.
The advent of Christianity certainly didn't put an end to violence and misery, nor did it outlaw slavery. Children kept being abandoned, wars kept being fought, and inhumane punishments were introduced for deviation from Christian norm or even just dogma. So no, the Christian era was no shire either.
The most pressing point however is that your parallel is misguided. Unlike the Christians, we don't seem to have patrons with big guns ready to fight our persecutors. Perhaps you may try and present the case to Putin.
