Evanston, Illinois | 4K drone footage

Evanston is a city in Cook County, Illinois, United States. Home to Northwestern University, it is situated 12 miles north of downtown Chicago, bordered by Chicago to the south, Skokie to the west, and Wilmette to the north. On the shore of Lake Michigan just north of Chicago, the area that is now Evanston was home to Potawatomis until the 1830s, when they were moved west to Iowa. During the 1840s the area became thinly settled by farmers from upstate New York and elsewhere in the eastern United States and by German -speaking immigrants from the region where today the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany converge.

Interesting that the drone only shows the downtown area and the area of Northwestern and ignores the older less well maintained area just west of downtown around ETHS, not to mention the former industrial area West of Dodge Ave, nor Evanstons high crime area South of Main Street, North of Howard, between Ridge and Chicago Ave.
