Thank you so much for giving everyone the opportunity to shoot double perf and especially those in lower ASA, so we an use the old cameras and not have them sit for display only.

At the ripe old age of 62, I still shoot and still prefer to use regular 8 movie film, but I also like the Kodak Ektachrome 100D Super 8 movie film. I have many different models of the Bell & Howell Directors series movie camera and also the Bell & Howell Directors Series movie projector. I still enjoy watching my creations on the silver movie screen. Many people say, "I just like the old timey look of film". I agree.

Thank you very much. I was stuck with my 8 mm camera, needing to reload the film to the other side for the first time and wasn't sure how to manage the spools. Your video was very helpful and clear. Thank you again!

Love D8, ‘pretty cheap’ (say it quick) and the cameras are built like tanks 🤙🏻

I never saw that film, the "Regular 8" I shot came in a weird metal cassette which I do not remember flipping, but I may be wrong, ,, I replaced that with a Super 8 came in the early 70s so it was drop-in magic foe me!!!

Been listening back to some old episodes and sad that John's "LOAD IT...SHOOT IT...FLIP IT" Double 8 theme tune doesn't get any airtime in these videos.

what would be the best b/w 8mm film to use for WW2 reenactment combat footage? I have a Kodak Brownie 8mm One-Six Model 1 projector, and would like to be able to display the combat footage with a close to period correct projector until I can get a ww2 projector?

I want to use my dad’s old B&H 134-TA. Do you have any 8mm projector recommendations?
Or would you make a video about the projectors?
I can’t watch the film without a projector

I started off as a kid with "regular" 8mm film. I now own a Sony Handicam which films in 4K and with 5.1 sound.

I feel like one of those old timers who watched the Apollo 11 landing and recalled the Wright Brothers first powered flight. 😳
