Richard Hertz, also known as Blackguard, was a criminal who used a special combat suit and equipment for jobs. He was a member of the first Task Force X strike team sent to Corto Maltese. When Hertz and the team arrived on the island, he betrayed his allies by contacting the Corto Maltese Armed Forces and giving the team's location away in a vain attempt to gain his freedom. He was quickly killed by the army while trying to reconvene with them on arrival.

Hertz was born in April 22, 1993. Richard committed robberies in 2011 and February 3, 2012, eventually getting charged with underage DUI on March 15, 2013, finally on August 24, 2016, Hertz committed homicide while smuggled.[1] He was later apprehended and imprisoned at Belle Reve Correctional Center for unknown crimes. In 2020, Hertz joined Task Force X and was tasked with infiltrating in the island country of Corto Maltese and destroying the Nazi-era prison and laboratory known as Jotunheim and all traces of the disastrous Project Starfish in the process, in exchange for a 10-year sentence reduction once the mission was completed. Secretly, Blackguard contacted and made a deal with the Corto Maltese Armed Forces, hoping they would help him to escape and advising them of details of the mission such as its date and the exact location, this prompted the soldiers to prepare for Task Force X's arrival and take them by surprise.[3]

The Suicide Squad is a 2021 superhero comedy film based on the DC Comics team of the same name. Co-produced by DC Films, Atlas Entertainment, and the The Safran Company and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, the film is a sequel to Suicide Squad. It is the tenth installment in the DC Extended Universe. The film was released on August 5, 2021 in theaters and on Max.

The film is directed by James Gunn and stars Margot Robbie as Dr. Harleen Quinzel/Harley Quinn, Idris Elba as Robert DuBois/Bloodsport, John Cena as Christopher Smith/Peacemaker, Joel Kinnaman as Colonel Rick Flag, Sylvester Stallone as the voice of Nanaue/King Shark, Viola Davis as Director Amanda Waller, David Dastmalchian as Abner Krill/Polka-Dot Man, Daniela Melchior as Cleo Cazo/Ratcatcher 2, Jai Courtney as George "Digger" Harkness/Captain Boomerang, Peter Capaldi as Dr. Gaius Grieves/Thinker, Michael Rooker as Brian Durlin/Savant, Alice Braga as Sol Soria, and Pete Davidson as Richard Hertz/Blackguard.

The film is humorously split into ten chapters that appear blended into the characters' surroundings in different ways: "3 Days Earlier", "Now", "Meanwhile, Harley", "Bring Me the Heads of the Suicide Squad", "Operation: Jotunheim", "Operation: Harley", "Jotunheim", "Dirty Little Secrets", "8 Minutes Earlier", and "Suicide Squad vs. Starro the Conqueror".

Pete Davidson had no idea what this role was. James Gunn called him up and said "hey Pete, I'm making a new movie and I want you to play a character called Black–" and Pete was like "I'LL DO IT!!!"

The crazy thing about James Gunn's approach is that he could have insisted they give the character that pony tail, and it wouldn't have been out of place. Somehow, he managed to make these comic book characters look properly ridiculous without slipping into Power Rangers territory. It's a tricky needle to thread.

Pete Davidson being in Suicide Squad was the only reason I saw the movie. I was so interested in what he was going to do, and how'd he fare in this type of movie.

Those questions remain unanswered, because he didn't even make it half way past the first act.
