As a Brit, I have to point out that no Brit was surprised at the Yorkshire pub crowd -- they are a very singular and insular group! They would have turned their back on anyone, especially from the 'south' or the US. Meaning that I probably missed the subtly -- they would have been shunned for not being 'locals' ['er, lad your not frum round ere ar ye]😊😊
