This piano was just completed. We refurbished it and we redid the finish with a beautiful black satin. It's absolutely gorgeous! The exterior of this piano gets a definite A - it looks like-new!
In addition, this is a 48" piano. Brigham has long recommended that a 48" is the smallest size that still allows great space for expression. In addition, this upright has great tones, good punch and ability to project.
This piano has brand new keys and we've refurbished all the insides. Brigham has a very detailed, exhaustive, all-inclusive refurbishing process. What that entails is anything from taking a few days to first clean the piano, to reshaping hammers, regulation and alignment. The purpose of refurbishing a piano is to make the piano function and endure like a brand new piano.
Pianos are capable of lasting many many decades, however, after 25 years, every piano needs some level of refurbishing. It's not necessarily extreme work that is required but they need some level of maintenance and attention after years of use. This process allows for a like-new piano at a fraction of the cost.
This Wurlizter is a good solid piano! And as a result of our extensive, quality work, it will last an additional 25 years before needing to be refurbished again. It has great longevity and there really isn't a downside to this piano!
