I often see people on Youtube raving about mediocre performances so it's really nice to see a performance that lives up to those comments. This is really first rate.

This music is sublime and completely timeless. In fact, you'll probably hear it being played quietly in the background at the end of time, as they turn the lights out.

Sublime playing . First time hearing this wonderful quartet and cellist, surely they deserve a name check .

Amazing. So much warmth and introspection.

I have known this work for more than 60 years, and this performance ranks up there with some of the best. I have recordings from the Budapest quartet from as far back as the 1930's, and Russian quartets from before that; The Dover quartet is a worthy successor to the Guarneri.

Wow, Absolutely stunning. I must say that the very first piece that I hear nearly brings a tear to my eye because I am thinking this music could be helping me to sleep if I listen to this music on my radio. Keep it up you fantastic players. I do also like that lovely lady in the red dress she is great too

One reason they play so well together is that Matt and Milena have gone the lengths to have matching hairdos.

Die Erhabenheit der Musik zeigt in eine unbeschreibliche Dimension ohne Zeit und Raum.

I first heard this piece in Woody Allan's " Crimes and Misdemeanors" and have been hooked on All things Schubert

YES. Excellent. And damn... I could be in love with the 2nd cellist! lol... fantastic playing and a true understanding of that part. Thank you for this! As usual, incredible viola playing!

WARNING: loud yells and shouts from (some people in) the audience directly after these fine musicians have played their last note (and are still "in" the music, as was I.)

Very good performance. DSQ + cello guest have kept Schubert's spirit, mood and silences. Schubert's pizzicatoes mean for this quintet its unifiying thread such as heart beats pump blood to living beings. As for the rest of the movements ... ??

Thank you for the recommendation, Mr. Foote.

aside from the great music by all
i think Milena plays her part so well with the wild hair and flowing red dress and shoes-
Schubert would be proud to see his work so beautifully performed

I have just discovered that there is such a thing as too much ecstasy. Oh, my gosh! What a performance!
