However, when you first get in your car that has been outside the interior air temp is WAY hotter than outside air. Do Not put it on recirculate until you have driven a few miles and vented the super hot air from the interior (roll a window(s) down). Then, use recirclation.

What the heck the first method I never knew about that. No wonder when its very hot in the afternoon the AC never seemed to make temps any lower, but when I put my hand on the vents it feels cold. I've never switched it to thw re circulation mode. Thank you so much

*TIP: Roll down your windows, and leave OFF your A/C fan for the first few minutes of driving....whilst your A/C is on & set to "Max A/C".*
This allows your system to get cold as fast as possible, and evacuates the excessive heat load within your car before your A/C attempts to cool it. on your recirculate button, and your A/C will cool the vehicle faster than if you trapped that heat inside from the beginning.

Saw a video that recommended cleaning the drain hose with a special brush to unclog debris
and that can make a big difference also?

I always make sure the AC is turned off when starting my car to put less pull on the battery, once started, I turn the fan all the way up w the AC off to blow out the heat and drive w the windows down a couple minutes, once cleared, ill turn the AC on n then switch it to recycling the air once its blowing cold

I just kinda tapped out and vacuumed my cabin air filter cos i didnt have time to get a new one its obviously not as good but i made sure not to bend the shape will this break anything?

Hello, a 4th good one is to check the ac drain hose underneath the car and clean/unclog that too. Regards
