For the record, the train had to blow its horn like that. Train horns are used to communicate what a train is doing to those in the vicinity. This specific pattern (two long, one short, one long) indicates the train is approaching an at-grade crossing.

Ngl seeing and hearing the F125s engine throttle up is quite the sound. Also the horn on this specific loco is one of the better horns in Metrolink’s rolling stock. (Others being the K3Ls, most Rotems, MP36s, and the K5LAs on the F59s)

For everyone to know, that was not a horn battle the fire truck just sounded his horn and the metro link did it to, but the train always blow 4 horn patterns at every crossing long long short long, when he did that short one it made it seem like they was going at it, when he really was doing the crossing patterns.
