Can I just tell you how much I appreciate you!! I am a follower of Jesus and just learning about herbs. It is so nice to find someone who also loves Jesus and herbs.

I've been using holy basil as a hot tea for several months, and been using it for anxiety and stress. It works very well for this ❤

Holy Basil is in my top 5 favorites! I have a beautiful holy basil plant I started indoors this summer and I cherish it everyday. I take it in tinctures, teas, capsules and I eat a leaf everyday :) it calms my soul. I feel so connected to it.

Growing Tulsi in the garden is such a joy.
I got one plant and it has reseeded itself for years.
Walking through the garden as the aroma wafts through the air is devine!!

Thanks to you, Heidi, I've heard of Holy Basil and have a bunch of it in the garden. This year I really took the time to put in many 'new to me' herbs, and boy have I learned a lot. I'm having a ball making tinctures, etc., since we now have elderberries, too. Also, LOL, we've been getting some pretty chilly nights lately (early September here in NY state), so I just put the Excalibur in the bedroom and dehydrate overnight, filling my bedroom with aromatic air, and adding a bit of warmth from the 105-degree air blowing out. Also, because of your wisdom, I've been making my own moisturizer for a couple years now, and saving a ton of money, plus the satisfaction of having particularly unique Christmas gifts - win-win!

Started the video feeling so envious of the PNW and how big and gorgeous nasturtiums get out there. Ended the video realizing that the ability to grow giant beds of tulsi is not to be taken for granted! I had a 12’x4’ tomato bed filled with tulsi last 2 years. Tomatoes and Tulsi are wonderful companions. Im also blessed to be able to hang dry in spite of the humidity here in the Kansas City area. Mostly used it for tea for stress and migraine or feeling like Im coming down with something but I didn’t know it’s good for asthma, arthritis, eye problems and so on! All of which I suffer from. But also didn’t know about the clotting issues. I need to look into that one because a platelet issue and lack of a specific IgA is what causes ALL my other problems. 🤔 Maybe that’s why I only desire it when I am stressed or having a migraine. If we listen to our bodies- they tell us!

I first heard about this plant from a co worker who’s married to a woman from Thailand who was kind enough to share some seeds, it grows so nicely here in Southern California, I love it for tea and the best way I like to have it is I mixed with my homemade kombucha for flavor, it’s one of my favorite way to consume it, the flavor is so unique, thanks

Your chickens are bonded to you. They hear your voice and they voice back. I've had a few of them that used to do that when I had chickens. 😊

Last year I planted Holy Basil in my boat garden and it took over the entire garden. I love the herb in my tea blends, but had to dig it out or the garden. It now grows wild at the back of our property in a sandy shaded location.

I LOVE Holy Basil, and I am not a fan of "regular" basil. I walk by my plants multiple times a day, and grab a leaf, or two, every time I walk by. Their scent is so amazing, too! I love walking out of the door and smelling them.

In our area we use it in soup. Especially in fish soup. It gives the soup so much more taste and in fish soup it tone down the fishy tast.

And use cold tea to gorgel the troath when having soar troath. It smooths your troath and cure it

I have a Tulsi tincture infusing that's almost ready. I've been growing Tulsi for a few years and love it's unique scent and flavor. I also bring at least one plant inside for winter enjoyment. Thanks Heidi ❤️

This is my new favorite tea and I hope everyone gives it a try. I bought it as a box of tea bags from my health food store to try before ordering a full pound of it dried and now it's out of stock. Definitely going to grow it if I find the seeds.

I’m in CT, and a lovely lady running an Indian store started some tulsi plants and brought them in to sell. She educated me on the benefits of tulsi. She says they eat several leaves in the morning right off the plant and make teas from the leaves. Also, if you have an Indian store in your area, I would recommend visiting it for their many herbs, oils, grains, and seeds, ghee, and all around healthy natural food offerings at good prices.

My great grandma used it for sweeping over our bodies when we got scared or evil eye she was a healer people from all over would come see her to heal them. I learned how to do it and use it for my kids and grandkids .

I grew it this year and it’s dropped it seeds in the surrounding pots and now it’s everywhere 😄
It’s wonderful as an iced tea with some raw honey. I did dry some for tea over the winter.
