I'm excited to share with you my personal recommendation for the best first book in statistics. I recently received a question about this, and I believe I have a fantastic answer.

So, let's dive right into it. I strongly recommend "OpenIntro Statistics" as the ideal choice for anyone starting their statistics journey.

It covers essential statistical concepts like probability, random variables, and various types of regression, including linear, multiple, and logistic regression.

One thing I particularly love about this book is its design. The fonts are clean, the use of color is effective, tables are well-organized, and diagrams are straightforward. It's a visually appealing and user-friendly resource.

The book's length is another standout feature; it's concise, with less than 400 pages. This is perfect for those who want to grasp the fundamentals without being overwhelmed by excessive content.

Moreover, "OpenIntro Statistics" includes a range of exercises and practice questions, which are incredibly helpful for reinforcing what you've learned as you go along. But what really sets this book apart is its comprehensive solutions section. For those on a self-study journey, this is a game-changer. It ensures that you're on the right track and helps you stay motivated.

Hey, So i recently started a grad program in analytics, and am wondering on what a good probability/stats book for someone who has taken Calc1/calc2/linear algebra, AP stats and business stats. I'm currently refreshing my calculus, but am interested on a calc based book near in the futurre.
