I'm lucky - Studio One was the first DAW that I tried - and the default behaviour is not to show buses in the arranger. And I love it that way 😉

I've been using Studio One since the very first version. This is the best DAW in the world. Although I can work in almost all similar programs. But S1 is the most comfortable, pleasant and inspiring DAW

We need the Sequencer PPQ changed or something because its not the best at letting you play unquantized midi, I mean if I’m on a MPC or Serato Studio or ABLETON Live or Reason or Fl Studio whatever I play manually with no quantize it plays it back perfectly. But Studio one seems to play it back with the dropped notes or notes moved. THE SEQUENCER AND THE SAMPLER NEEDS A MAJOR OVERHAUL. Test the MPC hardware or software without quantize and see the difference or any of the other stated DAW’s I mentioned. As powerful as Studio One is for music creation it still needs work in those 2 departments( The Sampler and the Sequencer) Also, quantizing after playing something should not be hard to accomplish as well.

problem is, when i move tracks next to bus channels, somehow they stick to one another (if the auto track automation visibility is not selected) and messes up all the mixer organization i made.

Another good work state for this is to just pack the busses into a folder. Then you get the best of both worlds. they only take up 1 'line' of space...and you can expand them with 1 click in case you want to write automation or something on a buss.

This would be great BUT you currently cannot put channels in a folder. If you want to put buses/fx in a folder they need to have a track in the arranger. Fix this!

Thanks for clarifying Gregor. When I deselect "Link Visibility of Track List and Console" I'm unable to show/hide a folder's contents from the mixer. Clicking the folder icon only shows and hides tracks on the Edit screen. Is there a way to fix this?

Great! When will Scenes be fixed so that they don't effect Arranger tracks being shown/hidden when Arranger & Console are unlinked? This bug was confirmed shortly after the release of 5.0 or 5.1.

Nice tip but my sessions are pretty folder heavy and this unlinks my folder behavior when I open/close folders :( is there a way to fix that?

It does not work properly with tracks that have more than one output on different channels like Impact. If link visibility is engaged and you try to hide the "Snare" for exemple all Impact channels disappear. If link visibilty is disengaged you can hide single channels but not collapse the drum folder they are put in. So you have to delete the snare from the instrument list. If you did that by mistake and you want to restore it all settings are lost. But hey who cares about proper testing a software?

I guess this is for Protools users, I never felt like I was missing those mixer channels.

Thank you for the info. However, for me, if it is making or passing audio, I want to see it. Full stop. Otherwise you are GOING to wind up hunting around for something and chasing signal in larger projects. Also, coming from Pro Tools and highly organized sessions, having things like busses viable in the arrange window has organizational advantages. I’m VERY glad S1 has the option for both.

Hi Gregor! I’ve always been watching your video tutorials. I wanna ask you about midi piano that I have recorded. When I play it the next day, the sustained notes were gone. What could be the problem?

What an earth has happened to the Update Master file option... Gets to the end of updating and gives out a horrible reverb
On the verge of cancelling Sphere now... Used Studio One for years and you're ignoring issues that have always been there... The updating master file has just started after last update... But Plugins taking a minute or more to close down is just not acceptable... Doesn't happen in Reaper which I also use... Especially with Line 6 Helix Native 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

It seems based on this, the workflow suggestion would make the Edit and Mix windows as separate (not combined) pages, as in: "Tracks" (Edit). "Mix" (Mix). Much like the Master is a separate page. I watched your video but cannot see how to make "Edit" not show the channels below. Switching between Edit and Mix swaps out the lower view between Showing Track (selected above) and the Channels (with the tracks above). How do I commit the I/F to all Edit or all Mix? Thank you.

It's features like this and similar ones that make me say S1 is the best DAW out there.

I still prefer the classic 1:1 display after a couple of years with Studio One. The lack of this is my main problem with S1. Since you can easily make tracks invisible and save the view as a scene, Gregor's argument about space in the track view is not very convincing. If you use something like a drum sampler with multiple outputs you want to automate, it is a pain to set it up in S1.

Someone pls help just want to automate the pitch of my sample but I can't figure that out .... and also I just want to know whether I can automate the pitch of a midi if yes...how?
