‘Very unhappy’: Americans ‘voted for change’ in 2024 presidential election

Flinders University Professor Rodrigo Praino says the American people “voted for change” in the 2024 US presidential election.

“They essentially equated Harris with the current administration, and they are unhappy,” Mr Praino told Sky News Australia.

“They are very unhappy with the direction of the economy, they are very unhappy with the policies that the current administration has enacted in order to try and address this problem.

“They voted for change, when that happens people have a glimmer of hope … the US population has some hope that things are going to get better.”
