This is 100% my dad. He's always scrolling through Qanon forums, learning conspiracy theories, and waiting for the end of the world to come..but it never will. He's hoping that there will be some event, something good or something bad. Trump will win some contest in some state. A problematic person will be voted out of office. There will be a food shortage. It's like a program to keep him hypnotized and under control. When things get bad, what's he going to do; Break out the Call of Duty cosplay? It doesn't seem much different from my anime addiction.
