Unbelievable job by Bruce. The way he belts out "Saints and Sinners" gives me chills.

This is why Bruce took Maiden to a different level. I liked Blaze but Bruce's style and range added another dimension to this song. As a side note, I saw Maiden 7 times in my lifetime and got to see all three singers perform live.

Such an underrated song. That solo alone is just pure dark love

Esta canción en su versión original con Blaze ya era excelente! Bruce la llevó a otro nivel. Up the Irons!

Those D5's are cristal clear. Bruce steps up and makes the song even better. "Saints and Siiiinneeers".

I wish they did at least 1 Blaze song per tour. They are really badass tunes people didn't give a chance to because it wasn't Bruce.

A matter of life and death is some kind of the X-factor 2 with Bruce Dickinson. I really like the mood of both albuns. I've heard one of these days something like: it wasn't that Harris composed x-factor-like stuff for Blaze, he wanted to compose this way.

The tune for this song is E, as long as sign of the cross and the clansman - the Bayley's era songs Dickinson sings most. Re rearranged it for this own voice, once his vocal extension includes different notes than Bayley's.

Actually, if you study Bayley's solo carrer, you'll notice he tunes down one step the instruments, so all these songs are played in D and you can see the powerful voice he has in low frequencies, once he is a baritone. By the other hand, Dickinson is a tenor and his vocal extension doesn't include such notes, and that's why man on the edge sounds much powerful with Bayley.

The only way Iron Maiden classic stuff could fit to Bayley's voice is tuning down the instruments in D, as he does for singing Wasted years.

"Ralph wept for the end of innocence, the darkness of man’s heart, and the fall through the air of a true, wise friend called Piggy.".

When I first listened to the riff I thought it was Gates of Tomorrow. Either way Im glad they included this amazing song from the X factor Album.

Que estupenda la interpretación de Bruce, personalmente creo que fue muy buena la época de Blaze le dio a Maiden ese lado oscuro que le faltaba pero Dickinson siempre a sido el mejor vocalista de esta gran banda.

It's damn hard for me to understand how some people think Bruce's vocal work sounds bad here. It's really amazing how he makes the song sounds like his own in a good way. Also I don't get how people can hate the original version or Blaze... that version rocks as much as this, perhaps even a bit more at least for me.

The band dropped the pitch a full step, brought up the tempo and added some punch to the rhythm, and Bruce sings some parts an octave higher. It's a completely different and amazing tune, why compare it to Blaze.

I don't care for this world anymore,
I just want to live my own fantasy
Fate has brought us to these shores,
what was meant to be is now happening

I've found that I like this living in danger
Living on the edge it feels, it makes me feel as one
Who cares now what's right or wrong, it's reality
Killing so we survive wherever we may roam
Wherever we may hide, we've got to get away

I don't want existence to end,
we must prepare ourselves for the elements
I just want to feel like we're strong,
we don't need a code of morality

I like all the mixed emotion and anger
It brings out the animal, the power you can feel
And feeling so high with this much adrenaline
Excited but scary to believe what we've become

Saints and sinners, something within us
We are lord of the flies

Saints and sinners, something willing us
To be lord of the flies

(3:17-Solo: Janick Gers)

Saints and sinners, something within us
We are lord of the flies

Saints and sinners, something willing us
To be lord of the flies

Saints and sinners, something within us
We are lord of the flies

Saints and sinners, something willing us
To be lord of the flies
