I love how aki gets introduced as this cool, dark-haired, chain-smoking, badass Sasuke-like character, but then immediately has that image shattered by getting repeatedly kicked in the nuts by our dumbass protagonist. A great example of how fujimoto completely subverts shounen tropes like the dark and brooding deuteragonist/rival character, just as much as they play into them.

Theory : since denji has become a hybrid. His physical strength would’ve increased so if Aki wasn’t wearing the suit ( which was stated in the manga it acts as a armor for the devil hunters, so it would be need to be strong in order to withstand scratches and some damage blows .) his balls would’ve suffered even more
