When he said "Jared didn’t ask for it" and you can hear his voice breaking, you can tell he truly feels the pressure of expectation he’s under and it scares him a little bit. I love that Roy was able to let him know that the journey he’s on is his destiny and he can’t run from it. More is expected from him.🙏🏾

This all started with "..cos your momma would give her life for her son"
Damn, that's heavy 😢

You don't often see athletes be willing to show their vulnerability so candidly on camera. I'll root for this kid and wish him all the success in his boxing career.

Love seeing old school greats mentor the young lions in the right direction. It's beautiful. I'm a huge fan of both of these men. I can't wait to see what Jared Anderson does with his gifts.

I like that roy also got a little emotional, probably because he knows what it is like and was in the same situation. The pressure to perform and keep performing on a high level is not for everyone

I love he was willing to show his vulnerability, a man of that stature, willing to show emotions and be vulnerable at such a young age is one that will welcome the process of greatness .. this kid is going to be a problem for boxing

This applies to soooo many men out there, boxing or not. What a powerful moment, and I fear for anyone who has to go up against Jared knowing he's got this kind of stuff in his corner. This is the power to move mountains

This is what boxing athletes need, not enough are learning from prior fighters and coaches who coached those fighters.

Not many people get an opportunity like that. He definitely should keep going and learn from many great legends like Roy. Inspire the next generation so that boxing can stay alive
