A look back at some of the most chaotic and controversial meetings between Rangers and Celtic.

The passion of the Old Firm derby is matched few places in football,
the most frantic game in the world bar none has had its share of "Shame games" as the media like to refer to them as while at the same time making their bread and butter out of showcasing the supposed worst of it. This video throws all that faux outrage out the window and celebrates the wildest aspects of the Old Firm.

Also feel like I might need to add a legal disclaimer to this this one... I absolutely do not support anyone going out and battering eachother over football on Old Firm day. Let it be the the most hate filled 90 minutes in football but don't take the Battlefever into the streets afterwards.

Your various clips remind me of boys from Govan, of roughly the same age, in Bellahouston Park kicking the living daylights out of each other in many impromptu 'fitba' matches (jumpers put down for goalposts).
There was never a Referee so it was brutal and many legs, ankles, ribs, etc were broken alongwith many faces cut n smashed and disfigured.
However, when it was tea time we all went home, then next day after school, it'd be a repeat performance night after night. They were formative times in shaping character.
Those were the days!

I was in my early 20s when I attended the infamous October '87 game. I was born in London but my parents are both from Glasgow and I was with my Rangers-supporting cousins at the game. It was pretty frenetic but surprisingly most of the violence was confined to the pitch. Interesting video, my friend. I have moved on considerably since then, now living in the Far East, but the nostalgia is quite invigorating.

Souness was there during the EBT years …then the old firm died in 2012 the match is now known as the Glasgow derby.
