I wouldn't solder directly to the battery, use an instant solder gun that minimizes the time that heat is applied within a fraction of a second.

So much wrong with this. :-D Worst thing, never heat solder a lithium battery. Build yourself an electric soldering machine first. Second you don't short circuit lithium cells and you don't need to. And 3rd wtf weird kind of cable was that!! :-D...

Do not solder to a lithium battery, use a spot welder. It will keep the battery from heating up. Also do not directly short the output of the battery.

Just buy the right tools people. Yes you can make cheap versions of tools but they won’t last and usually cost more than buying the tool made for the application

I just bought a proper plastic welder gun from Amazon for Including a pair of wire cutters, heated plastic smoothing blade, carry case and 250 wire links...he probably spent more making that thing.😅

You can, but the risk of damaging it with heat is higher than spot welding . And the rest is dangerous if you accidently short the battery. Witch, I might ad, can happen if you overheat the cell through a short caused by both spot welding or soldering. But the risk is way less spot-welding with the right settings.

Solder onto lithium battery? What could go wrong? Also, rubbish repairs. Solvent weld would be better on some of those plastics.

all fun and games til one of the wrong solder spots fails and theres NO way the solder adhered to the battery terminals properly
