My friend and I have been buddy rereading Twilight together and it's been so much fun talking about the series with her. I'm currently reading Midnight Sun for the first time because I only read a little of the early draft and I have no memory of it whatsoever, and it's such an interesting read so far! Also the ghost tic tac toe thing is adorable omfg. I love your videos so much

The romance in A Novel Love Story definitely isn't my favorite (although I did like it more than The Seven Year Slip), but I really liked the themes in the book, and how the town was a big (metaphor, allegory?) for what both Elsy and Anders are going through: building up this story of your present or future in your head, and then something happens to stop it and you get stuck because you aren't sure where to go from there. Also, I love how the title is a play on words because the entire book is kind of about the love story between readers and their favorite books.

If you like the premise of Novel Love Story, give the Thursday Next series by Jasper Fforde a try. The first one is called The Eyre Affair so you'll get a lot of the references if you've also just read Jane Eyre :) Thursday, the main character, is a literary detective who discovers she can go into books. Fforde is my favourite author and the Thursday series are some of his best.
