I graduated in 2000 and went in the Army 6 months before 9/11 and we remained in conflict my entire career until I retired in 2021. My father was enlisted during the Vietnam war and the Gulf War basically in conflict his career. My grandfather was in WWII and Korea. My only wish in life is that my son never sees war. What baffles me as a Pakistani is how the US is always able to give billions in military aid but doesn't get rid of things like student debt. You'll not make your healthcare system better or help reduce education costs but you'll give your taxpayer's money to far away countries.
