New Banksy artwork stolen in London within an hour of being revealed

A new piece of art by Banksy in London was stolen on Thursday, within an hour of being revealed.

The piece – the fourth by the street artist in the capital this week – was in Rye Lane, Peckham, and was a stencil of a howling wolf on a satellite dish.

Photographs showed a group of masked men climbing up, grabbing the dish and carrying it away.

The piece had been revealed on Banksy’s official Instagram page, which he has always used to verify his work.

Selling stolen artwork happens all the times, once it changes hands a few times its not longer considered stolen in the art world and can be resold and reintegrated from the black market.

Theres a big conspiracy about money laundering and schemes due to this actually. The artwork can be worth hundreds of thousands to millions.
