In this video, I'm taking on the challenge of repairing three classic backward-compatible PS3s that belong to customers. These consoles have been brought in with serious issues: two experiencing the infamous Yellow Light of Doom (YLOD) and one with the Green Light of Doom (GLOD).

Join me as I dive into the intricate process of diagnosing and fixing these nostalgic gaming systems. Will I be able to bring these beloved consoles back to life? Watch to find out!

The definitive PS3 repair channel. Only one that properly documents the true repair for these old PS3s: a GPU replacement. The 90NM RSX was a defective product.

Very heartwarming to see these rare early BC PS3 models brought back to life. It's amazing to have 2 consoles hooked up to the TV and be able to play 5 generations of PlayStation games!

Excellent repair! This is the video I have been looking for years. First syscon error log, then tackle the underlying problem. No BS at all.

Those Chrome PS3's are the best PS3's to have. Well worth the effort to fix. Nice work.

Just came across this video today. Crazy cause I happen to have 2 PS3s I bought of eBay. One is A01 model with YLOD and the other is E01 MG model with GLOD. I might be hitting you up sometime in the near future to get these bad boys running again.

This has quickly become one of my favourite PS3 repair videos. The way you describe what you're doing at each stage, the annoyance at the coin mod, and how you deliver your lines makes it very entertaining to watch. I'd love to see more videos like this when you get consoles in to repair.

Crazy how unreliable the 90nm RSX was. 150 days is barely anything. Let alone 7!

I recently bought a used 3001B slim with 1400 days that had never been opened. I’ve accidentally left it on for 3+ days at a time and temps stay in the mid 60s with SYSCON running the fan at 25%!

Thank you for Reading out the Syscon instead of just throwing shit in and seeing if it works or not! I've seen so many people on YouTube do that...
1:35 "Only 150 days" my B00 died after 2 days and 11hrs...

i always wanted to know how to desolder/solder surface-mount components (and also micro-soldering), but right now i only know how to do normal soldering (i used that knowlage to upgrade my soldered keyboard switches on a 103 key mechanical keyboard)
