These Sheep Give Birth UNASSISTED!

You’ve heard the stories of sheep needed help at birth. I even had to help one of mine. But that doesn’t have to always be the case.

Awesome!!!
Hey JUSTIN, you should check out Sandi Brock. She’s a sheep farmer from Canada, and it’s lambing time over there. She does things differently than you but she’s great with her sheep and maybe you’ll learn a thing or two about lambs.
Love your channel and your family! Keep up the good work, y’all are beautiful!!

You should have a "birthing kit", like Art and Bri have! Like all SMALL homesteaders/farmers have! If you are going to have animals, then you need to properly care for them!

The viewers aren't having a "hard time" understanding your strong flock goal! Lol... EVERYONE wants animals that are healthy and birth unassisted, but that isn't realistic because mother nature isn't always perfect! Maybe it's just you who is having a "hard time" understanding which ewes are "keepers"! A ewe that conceived twins on her first time, IS A KEEPER!!

Sorry but I don't get that logic, can someone please explain, so he doesn't want to intervene and possibly save a lam because if it's week I might not survive but the once that do come out strong and healthy will be food, why not try to save the weaker and then you will have more produce/meet and you can save "the stronger" for future breeding, although it doesn't really work like that in captivity but sure we can say It does.

Still think you should give her a second year.

Hello Mr. Justin, I ask you to activate the translation into Arabic. We follow a lot of the content that you provide, but there is a problem that we do not understand everything you say. On YouTube there is an option to translate into several languages. I hope you do it for your followers. We love you all, your followers from Iraq.

No that's not a breeding system it's just being ignorant. Your job is to tend them if you want to cull them thats your choice but just letting that lamb go and "hoping" it lives is a horrible example of a homesteader. You own them your responsible for them. Ive got a list as long as yours but you best believe if there is an animal born on my farm even if I know im going to sell it I just don't leave it to die I do everything I can for it.

A working family needs to have best pratices with feed issues (selenium shortage that goats and sheep need) but that needs to have a vet feedback.

It is animal husbandry, as you care for your family the responsibility to the animals is no different. God gave you responsibility to care for!

Such a blessing that the kids can help cook meals. Them boys are developing into wonderful young men!
And Lilly keeps up without missing a beat.
And lil baby Henry is sooo adorable.
A mini Justin looks like from here.
Continued blessings of abundance and wisdom

Crazy question. Is there anyway you would consider selling the sheep that needed help lambing?

Would you breed the female lamb to the same ram? Wouldn’t that be inbreeding?

Sometimes they don’t drop their wool completely because their line has been crossed with a wool sheep earlier on.

Your resistance to listen to experienced sheep breeders is surprising. So is your attitude of dismissing you subscribers concerns. Sad to witness
For my part, all I will offer is, Your farm/ Your business. I just pray you have more options than Hell or High
