Idk why TP is so universally underrated. I’ve played all the mainline Zelda entries and TP has been always been my favorite by far. It’s the ultimate classic Zelda experience.

Jose's favourite game is Wind Waker, and he knows his stuff when it comes to Zelda. This was a fair and honest review that points out the flaws with Twilight Princess generally and how most of us we're a bit underwhelmed by the graphics since it wasn't anything like the 2011 tech demo.

I love this game so much. I'm gonna buy it as soon as I can on March 4th. But I will admit they could have done more, I mean, I'm exited as hell, but maybe they could have updated more models. Doesn't stop it from being my favourite loz game though.

Here's what I would've done with Twilight Princess HD:

Production Values:

1) Compose an orchestrated soundtrack, but allow the MIDI soundtrack as an option.
2) Add trees, grass, roaming animals, vegetation, and some wind to Hyrule Field
3) Make the overworld darker during night time
4) Mountains and hills gain more polygons and better textures

Core Gameplay:

1) Make the goat herding tutorials optional
2) Make all 3 Tears of Light sections optionally skippable
3) Add a temporary save statue on each floor of a dungeon
4) Add more horse whistles throughout the overworld.
5) Add a quest logue in the menu
6) Epona's dash refreshes 20% more quickly while out of combat
7) Link swims 20% faster
8) Wolf Link gains more attacks and abilities

Item Buffing:

1) Slingshot has infinite ammo and increased firing speed
2) Spinner moves faster off-rail, inflicts some damage and stuns enemies
3) Ball & Chain has less start lag and less end lag

Difficulty:

1) Give all common enemies 1.5x health, 1.5x damage and 1.25 moving speed
2) In Hyrule Field, there are twice as many enemies, plus added hazards in several areas

Overworld:

1) Hyrule Field has a dozen new secret cave entrances accessible by solving item based puzzles
2) In the caves, are a horde of enemies, a new puzzle to solve and a treasure chest containing a costume for Link
3) These treasure chests contain 1 of 100 random possible costumes, you can trade them with people online.
4) Hyrule Field contains several merchant stands: a potion shop, a bomb/arrow shop, a shop selling shield/sword upgrades, a few mini-games and other surprises
5) In the Lake Hylia cannon, for 100 rupees, you can warp to hard to access places you've already visited.

Boss Fights:

1) Fyrus (Goron Mines) -- Fiery bokoblins and archer enemies harass the player
2) Zant (Palace of Twilight) -- Inflicts 1.5x the damage on the player
3) Armagohma (Temple of Time) -- Spiders and insects harass the player. Also spinning blades surround the room.
4) Ganondorf -- Has 1.5x health, inflicts 2.0x damage and can counterattack common exploits.
5) Deku Toad - (Lakebed Temple miniboss) is stunned for a shorter period of time
