Who’s ready for an AWESOME EV SUV drag race?!

We’ve got our hands on the all-new BMW iX, and it’s going head-to-head against some of its key all-electric rivals over the quarter-mile!

The question is, how do they stack up? Well, let’s kick off with the iX, which has the ability to put down 523hp and 765Nm of torque. Naturally, it’s pretty heavy, weighing in at 2,510kg. Alongside it we have the Tesla Model X. It’s not the most powerful edition of the X, but it can still put down 541hp and 755Nm. It’s lighter than the iX, too, at 2460kg.

Next up is the Audi e-tron S, which is the heaviest car here, tipping the scales at 2,620kg. It can still put the power down, however, being able to produce 503hp and a HUGE 970Nm! Then finally we have the Mercedes EQC. It’s the least powerful car, with the ability to put down 408hp & 760Nm. However, it’s also the lightest, at 2,420kg.

So will the Tesla's power output catapult it to victory? Or could the EQC spring a surprise? There's only one way to find out - LET'S RACE!

The performance of the bmw is insane but it was slowed down because of the speed limiter and the Audi looks the best in my opinion

For the BREAK TEST, I would love to see a video showing the rear of the cars, just to see the break lights go off, to show how close the drivers reactions were when applying the breaks. Great videos Mat and team, keep up the great work!!

It is not the latest model of the tesla model x performance but it has given good results as it has great autonomy👍

The Audi has the performance that matters : quick reaction for overtaking and good brakes for slowing down quickly. It's also the better looking car in this group. But that BMW interior though. So, Audi e-tron or BMW iX? I'm torn in the valley of decision.

Well the BMW engineers know their customers. It's got all the power on the top end which is exactly what BMW drivers need while weaving between cars without signaling at 100+ mph on the freeway.

Can't wait for the real-world range test of all these cars. Great race, the iX gets let down by the speed limiter but great performance. The Audi's braking surprised me 🤯. Interesting fact, in South Africa the iX (xDrive40) is the cheapest among these
