At Temple, patients like Joe get a second chance each day. When Joe learned he needed a heart transplant, he was told he would not qualify due to his age—until he came to Temple. Now, after receiving a transplant, he is back to the things he loves, and even joined us to throw the first pitch for the Phillies!
