Select Plant Hire is running the fully battery-powered crawler cranes LR 1160.1 unplugged and LR 1250.1 unplugged for lifting operations in London.

Drove the LR 1250.1 Unplugged for a month in Gothenburg. Very nice crane to operate, very smooth and the best part is that you don't have to listen to the noise from the engine all day.

Since most small power tools on a construction site are now battery-powered, it seems natural that cranes and other larger powered equipment should follow.
Next up; a seperate mobile solar-powered battery charging unit that can travel with the crane or be within trucking distance to charge a second battery pack.

Are you gonna talk about air pollution and save the environment again well the lithium mining process there’s three places in the world were lithium is being mined in the largest one right now is the lithium triangle in South America and they’re actually destroying the country the locals that live there are dying left and right the water is being polluted all over the land is being polluted fish and animals are dying is deforestation happening everywhere but yeah we’ll go green as long as you don’t see it in your backyard you don’t care

What about charging it the power. Most people don't think of what it takes to run the Electric versus diesel. When I see cars stuck on the side of the road with a mobile generator plugged into them because they ran out of power that's not helping the environment there needs to be a better solution.

Electricity still has to be generated somewhere people and sent to these green job sites so your just moving the pollution out of site.
