Heavenly Father, only you know the burdens I face please bless me. As a single mom it can be hard to have everything on your shoulders. Especially because both of my sons are special needs. It’s difficult to raise children alone but despite the challenges I face I keep faith in you Lord even as I struggle to pay rent and as I struggle to buy groceries for my sons. Jesus deliver me from my anxieties, and my troubles. Give me strength. I suffered a heart attack and with my on going battle with lupus I’m overwhelmed. Help me to find strength when I am weak, And hope when I am afraid. Amen. ❤

I'm very blessed in that I exist as a result of an adoption. My third great grandfather was born out-of-wedlock to my fourth great grandmother. With no courts, no legalities, and no incentives, the man I call my fourth great grandfather, whose name I carry, stepped in, married the woman, and took in the baby boy as his own, naming him after the man I call my fifth great grandfather.

Interesting...I highly respect Voddie Baucham but I question his stats and info because he's not giving sources. Also, has he had extensive conversations with birth mothers and adult adoptees? It very much seems like he's talking primarily from an adoptive parent pov. I very much agree that there isn't much study on the biblical aspect of adoption and salvation, and how it's not the same as physical adoption. This is very much needed in the Christian community.
