i like how the purple sky of Mor Dhona is reflected in the Lakeland's purple trees and grasses

Fun Fact: prior to the release of ShB, the devs mentioned that the design mentality behind Norvrandt was something along the line of "an alternate reality that split from the main timeline 1000 year ago"

Reddit was saying where the flood stopped was at the Waking Sands.

I'm convinced that Rak'tika the way it looks is what the dev team wanted West Shroud to look in 1.0 back in the day but at the time couldn't pull it off and years later managed to do so in a way.

Gridania's been my "home" since i started. I knew there was a reason i was so drawn to Rak'tika, outside if the mythology 😂

Absolutely love how Norvrandt takes familiar locations and cultures from Eorzea and flips them on their head. The uncanniness really helps sell the overall horror vibe of Shadowbringers.

It's what I loved about Shadowbringers... the similarities and differences between everything, it's great. 11/10

Based on the information given in 6.4, it is said that Hydaelyn shares the same geography with its other reflections :)

I'd connected most of this, but my brain had not made the link between Coerthas and the Ill Mheg. I'd also not realized that the geography lined up pretty well too.

Always was struck how Mt. Gulg looked just like sohm al but now it makes sense

This is kind of mind blowing to me, especially with you layering the images on top of each other. I knew that there were similarities between the two worlds but I had no idea they put this much thought into basically recreating Eorzea in a completely new context with a different world history. It's super impressive, and I shouldn't have put it past them because FFXIV's world building is incredible.

In the new custom delivery with the leafman he does mention that Il mheg used to be cold and snowy if I'm not mistaken

I mean it makes sense. I imagine all 13 shards share similar biomes.

Sad that the flood of light destroyed the other half would be crazy if we saw something similar to garlemald or The Far East

Coerthas is my favorite area with Il Mheg being right behind it coincidentally. Something about the two that I just realized is how they're two sides of the same medieval fantasy coin.

fyi, camps @ Raktika are literally using bgm that was once 1.0 shroud's first area halves, can already get its orchestrion rolls from 3.0 dragonskin map dungeons (which also drops each of 1.0 towns & their 1st halves bgm, also why halves? coz each zones bgm back then are separated into first half & later more challenging halves). ;)

Man seeing ishguard with grass and beautiful green trees is trippy since now it's a frozen hell hole that only the heartiest of creatures survive

When the shadowbringers trailer dropped, i thought eulmore was limsa lominsa due to the similar architecture, but didn't realise it went deeper til now, but it makes sense, given it is a reflection of the source
