To be a 911 dispatcher I had to go through 5 months of background checks. They contacted all my previous bosses and coworkers and even roommates to see if I was a good citizen. It was intense and invasive. How do officers get hired again and pass a background check after being fired??

Which is why qualified immunity needs to be taken away, and the Federal Government should require law enforcement candidates to apply for a federal law enforcement license that can be revoked for criminality, domestic, and as well as Civil Rights/Human Rights violations closing the revolving door to employment.

Imagine firefighter’s who starts fires going from town to town after it's known they're arsonist. Simple things like stopping this nationally would prevent many incidents and save taxpayers billions.

Individual police officers need to be legally liable for their own actions just like any other person is. That would solve the issue immediately.

I dont get it. Policework isnt a job that is missing new applicants. Why do they hire bad apples instead of new apples?

Doesn't make any sense to hire an officer who got fired in another jurisdiction. Aren't they doing background checks?
